On Saturday, July 28, we loaded up the car and headed up to Iowa. It was a thunderstormy drive, but we made it to Jonathan's house in a little under 9 hours. The kids were so excited to hang out with their Iowa cousins, and delighted to play with the animals.

The kids indulged in a bit of tomfoolery, some of it at the expense of the dog, as they crammed Levi into a cardboard tube.
Have I told you that they have the cutest little 2 week old calf?!
And a lot of baby lambs that needed to be "worked". that means they needed to be halter broke and use to being handled. There were a lot of helpers for that.
Okay, Rylee might have spent more time chasing chickens.
Callie and Marian were serious sheep helpers though.
The little kids helped too. Zachary and Rylee wanted to walk some lambs.
Childrens, sheeps and cows..... what fun!
Rylee and Zachary, they played and fought very seriously all week!
