Photo Dump

Cute bunns.

I started quilting again, and finished this one.

The YW had an activity where the girls brought their pets and talked about them.  The baby goat was a HUGE hit!  Callie's bunny was also quite popular.  Melody brought her snake, another girl brought her gecko, and Rylee brought one of her rats. The activity was a huge hit.

Thus fluffy boy is spoiled.

And this kid joined Navy JROTC!!  Whaaaat?!!!!

Callie and the cute rats.

And I have been working on prepping for the Half Marathon in November.  Woot!

And another birthday

Dal also rolled into another year. Again, I failed to take many photos, so the delicious Poke Cake was not documented.  But I think Dan had a good birthday with adequate loot.

There was a birthday

Rylee had a birthday.  I see that I was negligent in the photo taking department, since I didn't take any of the cake.  But you can enjoy he hamming it up with the loot!
I love this kid!

Rylee's rats

So, an update on the rats....

They are surprisingly fun pets.  They are cute, inquisitive and interactive.  All good things.  I think I would love them except for two things: They don't smell good, which requires the cage to be cleaned at least twice a week.  And they are indiscriminate pee-ers.  They are mostly letterbox trained, but they will still just pee whenever and wherever they want.  So... ick.

But please enjoy the cuteness of Ciri.

More rabbits

Be impressed.  I made this, all by myself.
Callie is hoping to breed her rabbits, so she needed a nesting box.  They are pretty expensive, so I was thrilled to find a template online that made this from one piece of board.  I went to Home Depot, bought my board and the nice man at the store cut it into the lengths I wanted.  I came home and put it all together.  And I feel quite pleased with myself.

The rabbits are not really fans of being held.  But Merlin is so chill, he will let you hold him.

Merlin is too cute!

Life needs more bunny photos.

I have cool friends

Rylee invited the YW her age to come hang out on Saturday.  We took one of them home afterward and got to see her snakes!  Her family has a bunch of Ball Pythons, and a corn snake.  It was so fun to hold them and check it all out! Snakes are cool and now I want a ball python.

Bunns are adorable!!!

I feel like it is time for some bunny pictures!  Callie worries about them while she is at school, so sometimes I send her "proof of life" photos so she knows I really DID go out and check on them and they are doing fine.  This means I have a lot of bunny pictures on my phone.  And here are some for you to enjoy, in no particular order.

This is Gweneviere. OR Gwennie, because I'm not really sure I am spelling Gweneviere properly.

She is a little weird though.

Gwennie and Elaine.  They no longer get along and don't get to hang out anymore because Gwennie is mean and chases Elaine around with obvious evil intent.

Elaine is so cute though!

We ike her a lot.

Fine, she is cute too, but still a brat.

Merlin is the more cinnamon colored bunn.  He is the handsome boy.  They got to spend some very supervised time together with no hanky panky.

Merlin is a mild mannered boy.

And so adorable!

Another Wedding, Another Trip

A niece on Dan's side of the family was getting married.  Since it was in UT, we decided to drive out to it. Unfortunately, with school recently starting and lots of other stressors, the girls decided it would be better to stay home.  We had an awesome college gal, who was already planning to pet-sit, and she was happy to switch that to kid-sitting and let the girls take care of their own pets.

Traditional selfie as Rylee headed off to school.

A very early morning selfie before Delaney left for seminary

And of course, I needed one with Callie.

We drove to Utah, spent the night at a hotel, utilized the treadmills in the morning, and had lunch with Dan's family.  And then we went off to the wedding.
Doesn't Emily look beautiful?!!

Her dad walked her down the aisle.

The bishop had nice things to say.

And you can't tell, but it is roasting hot, and it was nice that they kept things short and sweet. It was my kind of wedding!

And then he kissed the bride and it was over and we got to go hang out for food and dancing.

School Firsts

School started.  All 3 girls left at home went back to in-person school.

The lighting in the house is dreadful!  Or maybe Delaney is just too radiant.

Callie is ready and excited for the day!

Rylee gets to walk a mile to school every day.... and walk home.

Callie also had her first Cross Country meet.  She ran great, but it was tough for her.
