Once we were cooled and refreshed, the girls ran off after cute baby goats. Then we headed over to the capybara. This was one of the many highlights of the trip. Marian has a special fondness for capybara and was excited to see them. They really did look like giant guinea pigs! But their fur... um, hair.... whatever it was, was not soft at all. It was quite bristly, like pig hair.
We immensely enjoyed hanging out with and feeding the capybara.
The kids loved that they got to add their own flavors to their snow cones.

Marian finally got to touch a capybara! Her life was then complete.

There was kibble to feed them, but the bamboo was more favored.
It was hot and there were lots of people. I think the capybara were feeling fat and lazy.
And this kid was just so darn cute, I had to get a picture!
