A Cemetery and a Beach?!

There are lots of amazing looking cemeteries around here and they pop up in the oddest locations.  As we were driving around the mountain, heading for the beach, we saw one.  Since it was a fairly rural area, we stopped to check it out.  Very cool!

After wandering around and taking pictures, we got back in the van and wen on to the beach.  While it was an overcast and drizzly day, we did play there for several hours.  Much beach-combing did occur.  Delaney had a marvelous time playing in the sand, and Dan M went in for a swim.

It was a good time!

How cool is this?

Okay, so playing in a cemetery is a little irreverent.

So impressive!

Check out this beautiful beach!  And no one was there but us.  (Go figure.  60 degrees out and raining.. and the middle of November!)

Delaney stole my shirt because she was cold.

Miranda and Delaney, playing on the beach.

Check this out!  Dan brought it up from the bottom of the ocean.  (Fine, he wasn't diving very deep, but he was fully immersed.)

Having a great time!  You can see Miranda and Delaney also enjoying themselves.

Delaney's masterpiece!

Dan also found this giant jellyfish.  It was already dead on the shore, so don't be too impressed!

Check out the cool rocks.  We did have much fun, yes we did!

More Sasebo Fun

On Tuesday Nov 17th, We went to a local mall and did some shopping and playing.  Then we went out to find a different overlook area.   It was a fun day.

Delaney found what she wants!

And some cool shades.

A high view of the 99 Islands that we toured the day before. SO PRETTY!  the photo does not even come close to how gorgeous it was!

Yep, I was there!

Delaney and Me.  I love that she will do selfies with me!

Look!  We even saw the pirate ship we went on, doing it's thing.

Kujukushimia Pearl Sea Resort

After our boat ride around the 99 Islands, we meandered around the Resort a little.  It was a fun place.  We later went back to try to catch some beautiful sunset photos from a great look out point, but the clouds would not cooperate and we were not successful.  We had a good time though, and did get some good pictures.

I don't know if you can see this guys sweatshirt.  It says "FOOL" on the front.

The back was even more disturbing!

Delaney posing in front of the boat after our excursion.

Ice cream boys and girls, what?!

We did try to find a good burger joint but were stymied on that.  Delaney thought she'd have a go on this one though!

Dan M liked the fun signs.

Me, at the look out point. I know, I'm blocking the scene.

Trying to get a sunset shot.... with no sun to see.

I love this kid!

Yep, this is about as good as it got.  Pretty, but not eh spectacular we were hoping for.

But we got to see this lovely Torii.

And Delaney posed there for me.

Catching up.... Sasebo!

So, yeah, it has been a while.  Sorry.  I have finally outsmarted the computer.  It wouldn't let me upload photos from iPhoto.  It tried to upload ALL of if if I attempted, and that did not work.  So now I have cleverly started saving all my pictures into a folder separate from it. And now I shall valiantly try to catch up with what has happened.

If you recall, was back in November, when Miranda and her Dan came to see me, we did some fun stuff.  On November 16, I drove them out to Sasebo.  We went on a very fun Pirate cruise around the 99 Islands.  It was at the Kujukushima Pearl Sea Resort(which is 2 miles from Sasebo, and quite convenient). It was impressive!  Both the pirate ship experience, and all the cool little islands.

This was our pirate ship.  The tour was an hour long.

Yes, Delaney got to miss a day of school to come with us! (Tues and Wed were no-school days for Parent Teacher Conferences.)

 Manning the Wheel!

There was a Crow's Nest, but it was always packed with people.  Can you spot Delaney there on the left?

My sweet girl.

Selfie with my girl.

There is another tour ship and we passed it.  It was fun because everyone waved at each other.

Aarrgh Matey!  Can you see Delaney giving him bunny ears?!

So many cool rock formations, and nifty little islands.

Miranda and Dan!  They quite enjoyed it all.

Delaney is steering, an Miranda is getting a bit cozy with a pirate!

She's after the sword!  Heh heh heh!

AAArrrrgh!

We regret to inform you that the computer is smarter than I am.  We got a new mac and I cannot access my photos.  They are here.  I can see them on the computer.  However, I cannot get to them to put them on the blog.... or much else.  I am sure there is a way to change setting so that I can, but I am not that smart.  So now I am just frustrated and angry.

And I have some exciting photos of Dan and Miranda's visit that I wanted to post.  But I can't.

That is all
