I have been experimenting with making Christmas Stockings with Kimono fabric. I love the quilted scrapping. But I have not been satisfied with the techniques I have been trying.
Cute Japanese back of the stocking with fabric I bought here at the Japanese fabric store.
A new, scrappier one.
Oh, just a road I was driving on as I was trying to find the auto shop off base that was ridiculously hard to find. I may have gotten a bit frustrated. But I found it.
I took some time to do a blanket for a friend. It is a really cute green that apparently;y isn't showing up as well as it does in real life.
My friend April sent this box to Josh. It was cute because it was full of random items, but fun ones, like MREs and stuff.
We had a Relief Society activity where I got to make a double sided holiday decor sign. It came out really cute, but was more work than I'd anticipated. I thought they were vinyl stickers, but no. It was painting with stencils.
It took a while, but I am quite pleased with the results!
And one evening I was tired and cranky, but Callie asked me to go on a walk with her and Levi.

So I went out, and it was a lovely evening with a gorgeous sunset and I was glad I did.
Dan signed up to take a Scuba class with Marian. I found her a secondhand wetsuit and it took her a while to squeeze into it. those things are tight! She was so pleased once she got it on she demanded a photo.
And then I tried making straight up stockings without quilting them. And I like the way they came out. It is just kimono on the outside and felt inside.

With super cute Japanese fabric on the back.
