Aunt Miranda's House

After a week at Uncle Jonathan's house we drove to Aunt Miranda's house.  We had a good time.  There was a goupon to a local indoor trampoline park, so we took advantage of that.  I also took advantage of a final opportunity to go to the Oklahoma City Temple with my awesome sister and her husband.

Boys have great dress-ups too!

Flipping into the foam pit.

Callie's colossal leap into the foam pit!

Delaney finishing up a pretty terrific flip.

It is Super Callie! (Super Serious Callie?)

Me at the Temple!

And after the Temple! (It was a very good day!)

And, of course.... Animals!

Really, the big draw for Jonathan's is all the animals!

The earless pig.

It takes a minute to figure out why she looks wrong.  But she's friendly and hoping for a hand out.

The sheep also had expectations of some love.

The piglets were less excited to see us, but we corralled them for photos.

Posing with a piggy, because... piggie!

They were too cute.  The girls and the baby pigs.

Rylee with the piglet.

You know I needed a turn to hold it!

And who doesn't want to pet a baby llama?

Everyone wants to be cool like that.

Callie brought her a little food and made her happy.

So cute.

Guinea pigs got love too.

They were really sweet.

And soft and cuddly.

Apparently they tickle too.

I love it when my girls are excited about animals.

Visiting Jonathan

After many fun filled weeks at Grandma and Grandpa's house, we headed off to visit Uncle Jonathan and Aunt Kristy.  I had intended a shorter trip, but they had a Youth Temple Trip on Saturday August 5, and since Callie had just turned 12, we wanted in on that action.  So we drove out there on Friday and the 3 older kids and I crashed the Temple Trip with Jonathan and his 2 older daughters.

And then we hung out and played and had a very good time!

Temple is about 3 hours away and it was an early morning.  Hence the sleepyheads on the way home.

Their pool was a big hit.  It was freakishly cold this day but no one cared!

Delaney and Rylee had a lovely time splashing around with cousin Emily till they turned blue.

Josh felt the ladies would be impressed with his chef skills.

He learned how to make pizza and was delighted with the results.

While the pool was too cold for swimming, it was still a draw for Callie.

It was barely warm enough to swim, and the cousins invited friends over for a pool party.

It looked like everyone had a very good time.

These two are probably discussing the boys.

One cute Rylee.

My folks couldn't live without us, so they came out for a day and helped can a ton of peaches.

Rylee enjoyed being a big helper.

And she really enjoyed hanging out with Grandpa.

Girls and a Lizard

The girls have missed being able to catch lizards, as there is a dreadful dearth of them in Japan.  They made up for it by terrorizing every scuttling creature around Mom and Dad's house.  They caught this little guy and had to pose for photos.
Look how cute he is!

 Marian and her prize.

Showing off his pretty blue tail.

Sneaking a picture of Callie.

All his pretty colors.

Rylee and the little guy. And then they let him go.

Silver Dollar City with Cousins

Yeah, we went a couple times.  I had to make it worth getting the season passes that we were just going to be using for the summer!  This time Dan and Miranda and Deborah came with their children, so it was triple the fun.  Oh the folks joined us as well.  So it was quite the party.
Always the popular ride and Delaney was SO happy to have someone to go on it with her.  Dan and his boys on her right and cousin Samantha on the left.

Deborah was cool enough to let Rylee play a game and she won this stuffy.  Joy abounded.

Camden ran off with my big kids to ride the big rides and a good time was had by all.

Josh, Marian and Callie are on this with Camden!

I rode the kiddie rides with the kiddies.  I got to go on the swings with Alex.  I hate the swings.  A lot.  And riding them with Alex nearly gave me an anxiety attack as I thought of all the ways his wiggly little bogy could tumble down, especially when he went no hands.

Rylee loves the swings.

There was some cool down at the splash pad.

And Hailey was too cute with Sarah's lollypop.
