We left Miranda's and headed for Utah. Whoo-hoo. As I was admiring the barren landscape of New Mexico, I posted on Facebook that we were driving through. I have an awesome friend who moved there, and she asked where we were. I felt like a jerk that I had forgotten she lived there. She actually lived in the very same area we were stopped for the night. Alas, a 10pm meet-up was not a great idea. Well, it WAS a great idea, but I knew it would mean I would stay up really late and we had 9 hours of driving scheduled for the following day, and we were truly on a schedule for it.
So our amazing friends came to see us before we left in the morning. I was so sad we only had 45 minutes to hang out. Sabrina truly is the most awesome person I know and I really really want to be her when I grow up. It was nice to visit and I wish that I had coordinated to get together ahead of time. Sigh.
All of her kids and most of mine.
A group shot with all of us!
Sabrina ane me.
And then we were off to the endless road. Lots and lots and lots of this.... all day long....
