Visiting Adam and Savannah

We drove to Adam's house on Saturday.  It a 13.5 hour drive if you keep the stops to a minimum. The girls were amazing, of course and the drive went well.

Here we are, at Subway, waiting to grab a quick sandwich and then hit the road again.

Sunday morning we were ready to go to church with Adam's family!

Marian loved Miley's hat. It IS a very cute hat!

And Miley loved Marian.

Um... this is why they need to collect the sacrament cups immediately, and not wait.  Zoom in on her eyes, if you can't see the problem.

The weather warmed up enough on Wednesday afternoon to use the pool.  Much fun was had.

It was a little chilly, but Callie did eventually make it in.

Rylee had a blast. She's jumping into the ring, but the picture isn't that great.

So much cousin fun!

Liza was like a cat- she wanted to play with you, but only on her terms.  And when she was done, it was immediate and definite.

We trolled the thrift stores in Medford to see what there was to be had.  This was something one of Savannah's kids thought was awesome.  It is awesome.  But it did not come home with us.

We utilized the exercise room and discovered that at 60 minutes, the treadmill automatically kicks you into the 5 minute cool-down mode and you cannot stop it or change it.  Well, you CAN completely stop your workout and start all over again, but then you lose your workout data!

We spent a bit of time at Adam's office.  Marian is waiting for Adam to do two fillings, and Callie is waiting for her cleaning and some sealants.

I got to see Adam in his official capacity as well.  This is my "before" face.  I needed a cavity filled.

Here is my "after" face.  I can't move half of it.  Adam did an excellent job, but it was a big filling and it was not fun. Still, it was better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.

We had a BBQ dinner and S'mores were necessary afterwards.

Sorry, Liza is just so cute!

Much messy enjoyment was had.

I went to Costco with Adam.  I did not know you could pile so much on the cart.  And this wasn't even the end!!!

Adam and Savannah are awesome hosts and we had such a good time visiting them!

Callie Ran Track this Year!!

Cross Country morphed into Track, and Callie ran the hurdles.  She ran the 100 meter and 300meter hurdles.  She liked the 100 meters better because she didn't have time to think. She did great, improved her time and came n first a couple times.

Feeling pleased with herself at the first meet

She knows she needs to work on her form.  I wanted you to see the awesome hight she's getting!

And she looks fantastic once she's over it.

This was her sad face at one of the later meets.  She was doing the 4x 100meter relay and was worried.  Since she had never practiced, I can imagine she was concerned!

She was amazing though and had a great handoff and all was well.

Oh.  In case you were wondering, her PRs for the year were: 18.5 for the 100m and56.5 for the 300m Hurdle races.

And I took pictures at most of her meets and of course, they are all the same- Callie running and leaping and doing awesome.  So please enjoy these favorites of mine!

Fun neighbors

Housing kicked us out for a couple hours so they could clean our AC ducts.  We invited ourselves over to my friend Janet's house.  They have a pool.  Unfortunately, they are new to having a pool and didn't realize that yes, you need to put chlorine in it even when you are not using it.  So it was green with algae growing all over it.

Whatever.  Rylee and 2 of Janet's girls didn't care.  They got in anyway.

The water was quite chilly. So it took a bit for Rylee to get in.

There was a water slide!  So it had to be used!

Isn't that water a lovely shade of green?  Ick!

Oh, did I mention the hot tub to warm up in?

And then I took Rylee home and dyed her hair with purple kool-aid and it came out a lot darker and less purple than we hoped.
