Marian had her last Cross Country Meet. The weather was glorious, the course was nice.
And she was amazing. She PRed every meet she was in and this was her best yet. Her time was 24:12. So yeah, she was freaking awesome!
And she was invited to go to Far East in Misawa as one of the 4 girls selected to attend.
I went to lunch with some friends. We listened to the recommendation of another friend who is kind of a foodie. I am NOT a foodie. I do not particularly enjoy tiny establishments that only have 5 items on the menu and they are all weird. This is my carrot pumpkin soup and ham, blue cheese, fig sandwich. Both did happen to be quite tasty, but nothing else on the menu was remotely appealing.
This is Levi. He is protecting his bone so no one will take it. He was napping when I stealthily went to snap the photo, but he was worried I might be after his bone and opened his eyes.
We had a big box. And Rylee made me laugh so hard with it.
I finally had one of those mom moments. You know, when you thought you had until Halloween night to finish creating a pair of dragon wings and then right at bedtime your kid corrects you that no, she needs them for school in the morning! Aaack!! I cut the bone of the wings out of heavy poster board and stitched felt around it for the wings. We managed to get them painted before going to bed. Except that the girls used 90% of the purple paint on one side and I had to figure out how to make the last 10% cover the entire other wing. Good times.....
In the morning I was working madly to finish them and to get a harness on them. Apparently Rylee did not realize they would be so big and as I finished them up she confessed that she did not, in fact, want to wear them to school. Sigh.
Callie is a nut. She has a mouthful of food and wanted this selfie. This is the only photo documentation of her playing in the Pep Band at the Kubasaki Homecoming game. But she did march in the Homecoming Parade and she did play her trumpet fabulously and she had a marvelous time. She is pretty awesome!
