Bunnies!

We got to visit my friend Wendy one morning.  The girls were delighted to see all her bunnies.  They very much enjoyed holding and petting the adorable bits of fuzzy. I confess, I thought them so soft and cute as well.

This kid and her Frogs!

This girl!  She caught this little frog (or this one might even be a little toad!) and wanted a picture of it.  She was so pleased.  Apparently the little guys are hard to catch!

For the Birds

Our last day at Jonathan and Kristy's house and the girls found this bird in the back forty.  I don't know what was wrong with it but it was incredibly docile. The kids took turns holding it and posing it and it just let them.  Poor bird.  But the girls were thrilled and everyone needed pictures.

George Washington Carver Museum

Jonathan and Kristy live about an hour from a very fun little museum.  We took all the kids out one day.  (Kristy and her 5 children, me with my 5, and Miranda with her 3.) We were quite the procession!  The museum was all about George Washington Carver.  I was familiar with his name but had no idea why he was famous.  He was a very cool guy.  He came up with a ton of different ways to use peanuts, and I was very disappointed that they did not include samples.  Like, how do peanuts result in a cherry punch?!  Or laundry soap?!  I wanted to know these things.

There was also a mile walking loop where you could tour where he grew up. It was very pretty and the kids were thrilled to race along and play, but the weather was dark and threatening and I was stressed about being caught out in a thunderstorm.  Joke was on me, as the angry clouds galloped by and ir only rained a little bit.... as we were leaving!

The nature hike was lovely.

All th kids had to climb up and pose on this stature of George.

Rylee was delighted to have a fuzzy caterpillar friend.

Delaney and statue George.  Best buds.

Callie and Camden, hanging out with George.

 Dashing down the trail.

Yep, if there is a tree, it must be climbed!

Rylee needed a boost and did not stay up very long.

What?! MORE pool pictures?!

Jonathan's ward had a pool party and we tagged along to enjoy the fun. It was lovely that 4 of my children could roam at will and take care of themselves.  And Rylee is great about knowing her limits, although she wanted me near.  She went doen the slide a lot and off the diving board a few times.  I'm not entirely sure where the rest of the kids were half the time, but they enjoyed themselves immensely!

Miranda, on the other hand had 3 small boys who were very active and wanted to be doing stuff.  I was amazed that Camden went off the diving board over and over.  Even more impressive was 2 year old Alex who was like a perpetual motion machine.  He never got tired of jumping off the diving board!
Rylee had a very good time!

Alex, on his 267th jump.

I spotted Marian briefly, hanging out in the shadows with her cousin.

Josh, just chillin'.  He made some friends.

And Josh jumped a few times.  Check out the super-cool climbing wall next to the dicing boards!  I missed a picture of Joshua on it, but he climbed it.  (And forgot to take off his glasses.  Oops.  Someone thoughtfully retrieved them from the bottom for him.)

That's my boy!

Jonathan's Pool

We spent the week of June 11-16 at Jonathan and Kristy's house.  We were fairly boring and mostly just hung out together. Which was plenty entertaining and fun!

Silver Dollar City Fun

On Monday July 11, we went to Silver Dollar City. Mom and Dad came as well. We met up with Kera and her kids and Deborah and her family.  There was much fun had among cousins and they had a great day together.  I had a good time too!

Too cool for a picture.  I had to super zoom in on her!

Rylee loves this balloon ride.  It goes up high.

Rylee with her cute cousin Samantha.

Sneaking a photo of Callie from across the ride.

 Three funny girls.

 Rylee is so silly!

Playing with the park's fun stuff.

Rylee and Delaney LOVE the flying swings.  I have to go on them with Rylee because she's n inch too short to go on her own.  I hate heights.  So you know I love my kids to get on this and ride it with her!

We got to see the Harlem Globetrotters and they were AWESOME!  Delaney has a huge grin because she went up and got an autograph from the player named "Too Tall".

Rylee, Emma and Delaney bouncing on the swinging bridge.

Callie and her cousin Sarah.  They sure had a good time together!

Poor Simon fell and bonked his head and bled like a stuck pig.  He was okay, but it was not much fun for him.

Rylee enjoyed watching the street performers.  They were fun.

 So sweet.  Delaney and Emma.

Fully girls at the train station!

The kids are ready for the train ride!

The "stick up" on the train ride is always fun!
